Yes! We accept any existing fingerprint, paw print, handprint, or footprint. You don’t need to use our Deja Marc print kit, these kits are simply provided as a convenience for those who don’t already have a print on file.

If you have an existing print, select "No" when asked if you need a kit, and an upload option will appear. From there, simply attach a clear image of your fingerprint or paw print and proceed to checkout.

Yes! We can capture fingerprints from all ages, from newborns to adults. Our process is designed to work for most ages, but it’s important that the fingerprint has visible lines for the best engraving results.

Fingerprints begin forming in the womb from 22 weeks, meaning they are present at birth. While we have created keepsakes from babies just a few days old, newborn fingerprints can be naturally shallow and fine. A quick close-up check of the fingertip will help determine if the lines are visible enough to capture a clear print.

The ink used in our print kits is water-based and designed to be gentle on skin, making it suitable for use with babies, children, pets, and those with sensitive skin.

It washes off easily with soap and warm water or baby wipes, and can be removed from most surfaces using a standard cleaning spray.

If your child or pet puts their inky fingers or paws in their mouth, there’s no need to panic. Simply wipe their mouth and hands with a damp cloth or rinse with water. The ink is not harmful in small traces, but it should not be ingested intentionally or in larger amounts.

A lot of our customers often capture prints from loved ones in different cities or countries. If you’d like to send an additional fingerprint kit to a separate address, we’re happy to arrange this for you. There is a small fee of $10 for each extra kit.
